About this book

Description

Sharon Conway and Lenny Scott have been inseparable since childhood. Despite their youth and warnings from others, they pursue life together—Sharon standing by Lenny even as his business dealings grow murky. Lenny rapidly rises in the world of organised crime, becoming a “hard man” destined for the top. For a while, theirs appears to be the good life: success, money, family (including two sons) and an outwardly conventional home. One night, Lenny doesn’t come home. He has gone AWOL before, but this time it’s final. He is discovered murdered—brutally beaten to death in a crime that even the police find shocking. Sharon is left with no explanation: she never knows why her husband was killed. Fast-forward twenty years, and Sharon begins to uncover the truth behind Lenny’s death. Past secrets, betrayals, and hidden crimes emerge—and Sharon’s grief turns into a slow-burning desire for retribution. She resolves that such a crime cannot go unpunished. In the end, the time has come to... Get Even.
