About this book

Description

Fronting Up is the inside story of one of the greatest-ever All Blacks, Sean Fitzpatric. When fate intervened to make him the All Blacks Captain in 1992, little did he realise that his life was going to change forever. The low-profile Fitzpatrick proved an inspirational leader. He captured the nations heart. He bought a smile back to rugby and to the nation. He gave outstanding performances on the field and earned respect off it. Respected by coaches and players alike. Sean reveals that at times it has been a rocky journey. From his childhood weight problems, the early set backs in his career, the triumphs with Auckland and New Zealand teams in the late 80's and his no holds-barred attitude to success. Touring, the challenges of captaincy, the pressures of a nation the scrutiny of the press all this and more is found in this excellent book. Supported by full colour photos this is a well written tribute to an international legend of the game of rugby. Fine: Very tidy condition almost like new.
