About this book

Description

Gardens of Delight is a charming and uplifting novel that intertwines themes of romance, self-discovery, and the healing power of friendship. The story begins with the promise of an enchanting Gardens of Delight tour in the stunning Lake Como region of Italy — a brochure that offers escape and opportunity. Lucy sees the Italian gardens as more than scenery; they might reconnect her with her estranged father, whom she hasn’t seen since her teenage years. Meanwhile, Helen, newly married and adjusting to life in the Old Rectory, throws herself into restoring the once-celebrated garden now in her care. She joins the local Garden Club partly to find community and purpose. Then there’s Conrad, recently widowed and completely uninterested in gardening. When his elderly uncle, Mac, insists on joining the Gardens of Delight tour — and only if Conrad comes too — Conrad reluctantly agrees, humorously remarking that peace at home is worth the trip. But what awaits them is far from the peaceful life they imagined. Together, these characters embark on a journey filled with beautiful landscapes, personal revelations, and the possibility of new beginnings as they cultivate not just gardens, but their own hopes and relationships. Tidy condition.
