About this book

Description

"Olive Garnaut likes things in pairs. But even with her own perfectly symmetrical family, birthday and bedroom, Olive has only ever felt half. How extraordinary, then, that one day Pip should appear...' This is Kim Kane's first novel; her writing is bitingly real and funny and we see her as a new Robin Klein or Jacqueline Wilson. The novel is clearly set in the real world (it will take you right back to being in Year 7) but has a strong fantasy element. Pip is Olive's alter-ego and is only visible to Olive, but the novel is so cleverly written that this remains ambiguous. This is an original story exploring identity, friendship, being a twin and growing up. It is also about learning to navigate school hierarchies and modern families while finding the strength to grow whole."--Provided by publisher.
