About this book

Description

RARE BOOK: Safe Haven. Riverton 1935 - 1985 by E. E.(Ted) Pankhurst. One of the oldest European settlements in New Zealand, Riverton has been studied and written about on a number of occasions. A book entitled "Early Records of Riverton and District" was produced in 1936 to mark the centennial of the town. It traced Riverton history over those first hundred years through the memories of some of the early settlers. This present book endeavours to pick up the story and follow it through to the present day (1985). Full of B & W photos a credit to the people of Riverton. The dust jacket has a minor tear top left hand corner front cover and minor marks elsewhere. This book is in exceptional condition except for the minor damage to the dust cover.  Images are of the actual book.  A scarce title.
