He begins with his early childhood and multiple expeditions to the Arctic - including the unsuccessful voyage on Endurance in 1915 - right through to his last voyage on Quest and untimely death whilst onboard.
A life full of epic adventure and exploration, Ernest Shackleton has become known for his exceptional achievements and courage in the face of adversity. In this biography, his unique personality is brought to life through an in-depth history of his expeditions, aided by personal letters from Shackleton himself and poetry inspired by those Shackleton loved during his lifetime. The book has numerous historic monochrome photos and maps.
The cover is a light blue cloth that has been severely sun faded. The gold lettering is completely worn off. Some off the pages have minor stains on them. This is a 100 year old book that has been a loan from the New Zealand Antarctic Society. It has a library style loan card inside the back cover. New Zealand orders of $40 or more receive free shipping. For smaller orders, Christchurch delivery to postcodes beginning with 8 is $5, metro New Zealand delivery is $9, and rural New Zealand delivery is $14.

Do you ship outside New Zealand?
We currently ship to Australia for a flat rate of $37. We do not currently ship to other countries.
